Custom Home Projects

Carpenter residence

A 6000 square foot second home near Winter Park ski area set on 70 acres. The Carpenters requested an eccentric design reminiscent of old resorts and mansions. The home was filmed for the HGTV television show "Dream Builders, Episode DRB-1204, which aired April 24, 2005, Craglough Revisited

The house is filled with charming and eccentric detail. It was built by Bill Vickroy, near Tabernash, Colorado.

Ronald residence

A 5000 square foot home in the Santa Fe style. The design incorporates vigas and latillas ceilings, corbels and beams imported from New Mexico. The house sits in a pine forest near dramatic rock formations and enjoys a private landscaped courtyard.

The Ronalds requested a Santa Fe style home full of authentic detail. The house was built by David Irwin, near Larkspur, Colorado.

McLane residence

This 10,000 square foot home mixes the flat roofed southwest style with barrel vault tile roofs evoking old California. The house features hand carved corbels and beams, kiva fireplaces and extensive courtyards and decks. An elegant California southwest design with diamond coat plaster, a William Ohs kitchen and materials imported from Santa Fe. It was built by Bill Vickroy.

Farmhouse Renovation
This renovation and rehabilitation of an 1881 farmhouse at the Twin Creek Ranch in Douglas County, Colorado, restored an abandoned home to new life. Brick shows where the old existing structure was maintained, clapboard siding was used on all new additions. Trim and details matched the existing farmhouse.

Contemporary and Rustic Combination
This contemporary and rustic design combines recycled wood, stone and timbers with silver clad windows, stainless steel counters and the latest light fixtures for a blend of old and new. Built by Bill Vickroy, in Greenland, Colorado.

5000 Square Foot Addition to Southern Rustic
This project consisted of a 5000 square foot addition to my previous 4000 square foot design. The entire home was transformed into an elegant "southern rustic" style and made to look like one seamless design. Built by John Zielinski, near Parker, Colorado.

Northern New Mexico style
A northern New Mexico style home with Craftsman and Mission style touches, near Castle Rock, Colorado.

New Eccentric Design
A new eccentric design built near Morrison, Colorado, on the site of an earlier home and over a fresh water spring. The fireplace was saved from the demolished house, moved and then moved back into the new home as a focal point. Architectural antiques were installed throughout the house. Water seepage from the spring was a major technical concern. Built by John Zeilinski."

Rural Ranch
A rural ranch home built for and by Polo Homes Ltd. near Franktown, Colorado. The design uses rusted steel roofing, stone, timbers and stucco.

New "Old" Ranch
This summer home nearing completion above Gunnison, Co. was meant to look like an old ranch house. Rusting metal roofing, recycled wood siding and logs make the structure look aged and a part of the landscape. This home is off the grid, using photovoltaic solar electricity, passive solar heat, satellite phone/TV/internet service and a wood burning fireplace. Built by Johnny Leverett.
